Autorogue Public Release
Hello —
I’m bringing you something from the junk drawer.
This one is Autorogue, a prototype I built years ago. While digging through the archives, it caught my eye. There’s something unfinished here. Something worth another look.
So instead of letting it collect more digital dust, I’m presenting it as-is — rough edges, old architecture, strange decisions and all.
Autorogue is an experiment in what I’d call an “Observer Roguelike.”
It’s not a traditional roguelike — you don’t directly control the heroes. They move, fight, and make decisions on their own.
But it’s not quite idle either.
This one is rough and not much to it, but I thought there would be value letting the "junk drawer version" be seen before it gets rebuilt.
You can play it here.
Now, back to the code — this one has a couple decades’ worth of architectural dust to shake loose.
